ANGLIAN AIR CENTRE have adapted a Piper PA28 Warrior II training aircraft for use by people who wish to fly but do not have full mobility in their legs. The modification allows the rudder pedals to be adjusted with the hands. In this way, full control of the aircraft is maintained. There is no additional charge for this modification. However, it does take a little time to fit, so please tell us if you will require this facility.
There is wheelchair access to all air centre facilities, except the flight simulator. A ramp is provided to enable wheelchairs to be located adjacent to the wings of the aircraft. A small amount of assistance is then required to lift you onto the wing where a rubber mat enables you to safely move up the wing and into the cockpit.
