Introducing the UK's first Basic Instrument
Training Device (BITD), an Elite Evolution S612 has been installed
at Anglian Air Centre, Norwich International Airport. The device
meets the requirements of JAR-STD4(A) and offers full cockpit replication
of the Cessna 172 single engine aircraft and the Beechcraft Baron
B58 twin-engine aircraft.
The Elite S612 credits student pilots with five hours towards
the qualifying requirements of the Private Pilot's Licence PPL(A)
or the Commercial Pilot's Licence CPL(A). It is available to student
pilots, qualified pilots, Flight Training Organisations and also,
unusually, for public use, all hired by the hour or part of.
